Agri Aware is teaming up with TikTok at this year’s National Ploughing Championships (NPA) once again taking place in Screggan, Co. Offaly with an action-packed schedule planned.
This is first time in five years that the agri-food educational body will be exhibiting with its own stand which coincides with the charitable trust celebrating its 30th anniversary of educating the general public on Irish agriculture and food production and the launch of its very first donation campaign.
After a successful collaboration with TikTok at last year’s ploughing championships, where the focus was around raising awareness on farm safety, this year, the aim is very much about celebrating the work of Irish farmers and supporting the agri-food sector.
To commemorate this celebration, Agri Aware, in partnership with TikTok, are bringing a special edition jersey to visitors at the ploughing. The limited-edition jersey will be available to purchase for visitors on the ground from the Agri Aware and TikTok Shop stand and for the first time, people will also be able to purchase LIVE from the event from the comfort of their own home. TikTok sensation and farming advocate Finn Walsh, will be joining Agri Aware and TikTok at the ploughing for two days to show his support and will be hosting LIVE Shopping sessions on TikTok Shop via Bourke Sports to sell the jerseys in real time to those at home.
The purpose of the jersey is raise awareness on the important role Irish farmers play in producing food with the slogan ‘I support Irish Farming’ on the back of it. The offering of the jersey at this year’s NPA and the launch of the donation campaign, is a first for Agri Aware and is being launched to generate support outside of its patron base to continue to build on its work of enhancing agricultural literacy by expanding its activities into the future.
Furthermore, Agri Aware’s programme partners equuip and BiOrbic will be exhibiting at the stand, promoting the education work it carries out with the agri-food body in secondary schools, as well as sharing updates on the work both organisations are undertaking in the equine and circular bioeconomy sectors respectively.
Speaking ahead of the NPA, Agri Aware’s Chair Shay Galvin said: “2026 is a significant milestone for Agri Aware, not only is the organisation celebrating 30 years but it also launching an important donation campaign that will serve to build on the current support of industry patrons via the general public and build on the work of the last 30 years. The partnership with TikTok is significant as it symbolises TikTok’s
support of Agri Aware’s mission and its commitment to supporting Irish agriculture and food production. The ‘I support Irish Farming’ jersey on offer at the ploughing is the launch pad for the donation campaign that we are excited to bring to visitors to the ploughing and beyond. We are excited to partner once again with TikTok and look forward to a busy three days at the ploughing.”
Commenting in the renewed partnership with Agri Aware, Head of Public Policy and Government Relations Susan Moss said: “Irish farming creators have built something really special on TikTok – from showcasing produce to sharing rural life, the content resonates with audiences both here in Ireland and far beyond. We’re proud to build on our partnership with Agri Aware this year, making the jersey available to those on the ground and to people at home through LIVE Shopping on TikTok Shop – a fitting way to celebrate the work of Irish farmers and help people show their support, wherever they are.”
