Agri Aware marks successful three days at the National Ploughing Championships with new donation page launch

Agri Aware made a successful return to the National Ploughing Championships, as the charitable organisation celebrated 30 years of promoting agricultural literacy and educating the public on Irish agriculture.

The 2026 National Ploughing Championships marked the first time in five years that Agri Aware returned to the event with their own stand, providing an opportunity to engage directly with Irish consumers and farmers.

A key highlight was Agri Aware’s partnership with TikTok which saw the launch of the ‘I Support Irish Farming’ jerseys. The jerseys were available to purchase from the Agri Aware stand as well as through TikTok Shop. The partnership with TikTok provided Agri Aware with an opportunity to connect with the younger generations of Irish consumers and further raise awareness of the importance of Irish agriculture and where their food comes from.

Furthermore, Agri Aware’s new donation page was launched at the ploughing, giving the public the opportunity to support Agri Aware’s work through one-off or reoccurring donations.

The new platform was officially launched by Martin Heydon, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine. The launch marks an important step in helping Agri Aware continue its work to promote Irish agriculture through education, engagement and public awareness.

Speaking about the successful week at the National Ploughing Championships, Agri Aware Chairman, Shay Galvin said: ‘Agri Aware was delighted with the success of this year’s National Ploughing Championships, in particular, the response to our ‘I Support Irish Farming’ campaign. It was fantastic to see so many people proudly getting behind Irish farming and showing their support for the farmers and producers who play such an important role in our daily lives. The jerseys have helped us bring that message to an even wider audience. Every jersey sold helps us to continue our work in promoting Irish agriculture, educating the public and helping people better understand where their food comes from. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supported us throughout the week and make the work we do possible.’
