School of the Week

Congratulations to our Incredible Edibles School of the week, Mr. Traynor’s Fourth Class, Holywell Etns, Co. Dublin!

Throughout Task 1 Mr. Traynor’s class have worked hard on food origins and defining processed and unprocessed foods!

Farmer Visit

They even had a visit from some farmers! John and Cathal from Finnegans farm spoke with the class about how they sustainably grow their crops all the way from seed through to the value-added products appearing on supermarket shelves.

Preparing for growing

Mr. Traynors class have been preparing their school garden for the growing element of the project in Task 3!

The class have cleared their fruit and vegetable beds in the garden and in the polytunnel. They have dug some of the beds to loosen up the soil in preparation for planting the seeds and plants when they arrive!
