Incredible Edibles – School of the Week

Congratulations to our Incredible Edibles School of the week, Ms Starkie’s Junior Infants Class from Glasheen Boys National School, Cork.

As part of Task 1 of Incredible Edibles Junior Infants in Glasheen has been learning about food origins! They brought in labels from their food at home and divided them into Processed and Unprocessed Food categories.

The class also watched Bord Bia short films about Irish-grown produce such as strawberries, apples, carrots and potatoes. They especially loved the one about strawberries grown in Wexford.

The children brought in some vegetables grown in Ireland such as carrots, parsnips, onions, apples and potatoes. They drew lovely pictures of Irish grown foods. The class also thoroughly enjoyed playing a food bingo game! Ms Starkie’s Junior Infants class are very proud of all the wonderful food Ireland produces and are really enjoying their Incredible Edibles journey so far.

Well done all! Obair Iontach!
