School of the week – 19/05

Congratulations to our Incredible Edibles School of the Week, Ms. Breen’s First Class in Scoil an Bhaile Nua, in Co. Waterford.

Celebrating finishing all tasks with a picnic in the sunshine

It’s been a busy time for Ms. Breen and all her First Class students. The class has completed all of their tasks as part of the Incredible Edibles programme.

Ms. Breen and her students reaped the benefits of their efforts this past week by harvesting some of the produce they grew such as potatoes and strawberries among others.

To celebrate Healthy Eating Week Ms. Breen and her class held an ‘Incredible Edibles’ picnic to celebrate all their hard work carried out over the last number of months of the programme.

Not only did Ms. Breen and her First Class students complete all their tasks as part of the programme such as sowing, growing, harvesting and lastly cooking and prepping their produce, but they also got to visit a local farm during that time.
