Come Farm With Me

Agri Aware’s video series providing Irish farmers with an opportunity to showcase their day-to-day operations for primary school children nationwide.

Introduction

The Come Farm With Me series was launched in September 2024 with a goal of educating primary school students on both Irish agriculture and food production, and the importance that each sector plays in producing quality sustainable food.

This year, students will have the opportunity to watch five “Day in the Life” videos on YouTube at their own pace and complete accompanying worksheets, noting any questions they may have. At the end of the term, Agri Aware education officers and primary school students registered for the series will join a webinar to meet the featured farmers.

This year’s line up of farmers are:

  • October 13 – Shay Galvin, Tillage farmer from Co. Limerick

  • October 20 – Jim White, Dairy Farmer from Co. Tipperary

  • November 3 – Annie McGuinness, Sheep Farmer from Co. Louth

  • November 10 – Catherine Smyth, Beef farmer from Co. Meath

  • November 17 – Shane McAuliffe, Pig farmer from Co. Kerry
