Tipperary-based company Agritech becomes a new patron of Agri Aware

Agri Aware is pleased to announce that Tipperary-based company Agritech has committed to coming on board as a patron.

Established in 1977, Agritech is a family-owned business in Nenagh. It manufactures and supplies a range of quality, innovative, nutritional forage products for livestock farmers.

What started as a seed assembly plant over the years has developed into a complete manufacturing, research and distribution centre. Agritech products are manufactured in a purpose built 50,000 sq ft factory and warehouse facility where investment is on-going in research, product development and manufacturing technology. This has been the foundation to earning a reputation for providing customers with products renowned nationwide and globally.

Agritech joins over 60 patrons of Agri Aware, strengthening the agri-food educational body’s mission to enhance agricultural literacy amongst the general public. The company brings valuable expertise in informing consumers about its role in developing products that aid in animal nutrition, health and forage production in an effort to foster greater transparency and trust in the agri-food sector.

Commenting on becoming a patron of Agri Aware was Managing Director of Agritech Brian O’Slattara who said: “We are proud to partner with Agri Aware. As modern society becomes increasingly disconnected from the origins of food production, Agri Aware plays a vital role in promoting Irish agriculture and the story behind our food.”

Speaking about Agritech coming on board as a patron was Agri Aware Chairman Shay Galvin who said: “It’s with great pleasure to announce Agritech on board as a patron of Agri Aware. The work undertaken by the team in Agritech aligns closely with the advocacy work we do around animal nutrition, welfare and forage production and their expertise and insights will be invaluable in our mission of enhancing agricultural literacy.”
