CONSULTATION ON NEW AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE SPECIFICATION FOR LEAVING CERTIFICATE STUDENTS

Agri Aware is pleased to advise that the DRAFT specification for the new Agricultural Science course for Leaving Certificate students is now live on the NCCA website, in addition to a questionnaire, where interested parties have a final opportunity to give feedback.

Agri Aware held a meeting with its patrons in Buswells Hotel in December 2014. At this meeting, the content of the new Agricultural Science specification was discussed and key areas to be included were agreed, from the industry's perspective.

Over the past year, the former Chairman of Agri Aware, Bernard Donohue, and Agri Aware Chief Executive, Dr. Vanessa Woods, had a formal role on the Development Group to deliver this new specification, where they ensured that all the comments and views from Agri Aware’s industry patrons were addressed.

You can view the new DRAFT Agricultural Science Leaving Certificate specification here.

This is your last opportunity to give feedback, prior to entering a formal process where the document will be signed off by the Department of Education, for possible delivery in schools in September 2017.

Interested parties can also complete this short survey to ensure the delivery of a specification that is industry relevant and will embrace the industry’s needs now and in to the future.
